You know, it's a scary thing when suddenly you realized that the people around you cannot be trusted. Everyone is looking out only for themselves and if you don't look out for yourself first you will be left behind and no one would care. Only when there are leftover energy and attention do people spare those leftover attention, time and assurance. 

So vulnerable that it is so tempting to resort ourselves into a shell like a clam shrinking into its shell after being touched in their sensitive area. Especially after giving yourselves, giving your heart away only to find yourself alone with hands empty when others only take and never give back. 

It makes one wonder, is it worth it? Is it worth investing all those time and energy and emotions to people who are no longer humans or humans with no humanity and heart.
