Changing Education Paradigms

I like this video. It concerns something that is close to my heart. I believe God put the burden in my heart for this. That's why He led me into this field and made me this way.

Education.

I aim to be a great teacher. Not just a good one. I aim to be a wonderful teacher that is open for new things, to bring in new things especially wonderful things that will bring out the best in the students. Besides, the job of the teacher is to educate students, not make them uniform, not teach them bad skills like memorizing things that are supposed to be only reference, not force their thoughts to be square in a box.

I believe the essence of education is to bring out the best in the student, in terms of knowledge, thinking skills, creativity skills, analogy skills... These are classroom stuff.

Co-curricular stuff like debates, dance, music,

Other things like their morals, the way they treat people, communication skills, their inner motivation... all these things are supposed to be taught by parents instead of teachers.

I'll just let my imagination run.

If children were to be taught by parents to be able to generate their own motivation to gain knowledge, the curiosity to know more things, the parents can just leave them in libraries instead of schools and they will just learn by themselves.

But this seems to be for genius children.

Perhaps I forgot the nature of children of different ages. But still, if parents did their jobs of bringing up children with morale and motivation to study, then things would be much easier.

In the end, the conclusion will always come down to the brokenness of people nowadays without God. I can't help it because God is the one who holds all things together.

If a couple are true God following Christians who live each day by the Holy Spirit, they will do things God's way, bring up children God's way. Then when they are sent to school, no matter how crappy the teacher is, they will still grow up well. But if the teacher is also a Spirit-led Christian, the children will be educated to the optimum potential.

Hmm... now to think of it, in the perfect world of God, (aiyah answers come so fast) if there are no imperfect people the how does one be trained to be good? because normally trainings come in the form of trials and conflicts with imperfect people.

Answer: The perfect world of God does not require training because they are already perfect.

So, in the case of the Christian Spirit-led family, the child will grow up influencing the teacher instead and the grow up to be wonderful people influencing nations (because there are few who are well brought-up in such conditions).

Hmm...

This might be something you'll be interested in.

A computer placed in front of kids who have never seen on and in 3 months, they can learn to play games, send emails, learn advanced science.

Who says you need to be a genius? All you need is a thirst for knowledge.
