You Have A Choice

Lately I haven't much stuff to write about but things like the title above kept being in my mind. Today Cik Pah in Psycholinguistics class also talked a little about it. So I decided to start a sort of series about it. I wanted to write a draft and organize the points first but I'm not sure how. So I guess I'll just write the best I can. Hope it opens your minds up! :)

Life is all about choices. Since young we all have choices to make. Whether we want to cry or not, whether we want to eat veggies or not, whether we want to listen to people or not, or talk, or walk, or wake up, sleep, jump, laugh, smile, talk... We all make choices in every situation no matter whether we are aware of it or not.

Do you know that nothing and no one can force you to do anything?

Let's just say your teacher asks you to pass up your homework on Friday and if you don't, you will be punished by doing 100 pumps. Are you forced to do it? No! You have two choices, no, several choices in fact. You can
  • 1) obediently finish and pass up your homework on time,
  • 2) not finish your homework and do the 100 pumps,
  • 3) copy someone else's homework and pass up on time,
  • 4) tell the teacher that you forgot to bring your homework that day,
  • 5) come up with other lame excuses for the absence of your finished work,
  • 6) not finish your homework and not cooperate with the punishment and perhaps get sent to the principal's office or something (but then you still have a choice of either going or staying put which may results in the summoning of your parents)
  • 7) complain to higher authorities that the teacher is giving serious punishment
  • 8) change schools
  • 9) scratch the teacher's car and threaten the teacher to burn his/her house if he/she ever gives you homework again
  • 10) kill yourself and be free of homework
See, there are 10 choices you can make no matter how crazy some sounds. But it's still a choice of action you can take. It's up to you whether you want to do the right thing or not, whether you want to bear the consequences or not. We'll talk more about this in the next post. All in all, you have total freedom to choose what you want to do.

Like that also long =.= This is so short already hoh.

You masih don't understand "choice" =.=

You wanting is not a choice but merely choosing to want it. Asking for it is an action, not a choice.

And about the cookies... I don't have any of it. I jumpa it at people's house. xD Go swim to Sarawak and hunt people's houses for it xD
