The Love of God.

I thought this morning I will be kind of free in school and I get to do some reading and also finishing my teaching plans files but I was very wrong. Been busy, busy doing lots of stuff. Plus I heard they say that we MUST go to school tomorrow for the Alumni watever thingy. Eesh. And truth be told, I was NOT happy. I was looking forward for a day of oversleeping to think that I lost the one last week because of replacement. And tomorrow wasn't a "wajib" (compulsory) thing. It was MADE compulsory just because very few teachers are willing to go and it would look bad to the VIP's to see so few teachers present. GAH.

Anyways, I got 2 (!!!) sit-in's today. Skipped one :P but went in to one. It was a good one though :D The class was quiet and doing their own stuff and I can finally take my book out to read. It was an awesome time. Finally I read to a new chapter of "Drawing Near" - Protecting Your Hunger. I was re-reading the front parts because I felt that with the empowerment of the Holy Spirit now, a lot of things are seen in a new light, with a new and awesome insight.

Anyways, back to what I wanted to talked about. In the chapter of Protecting Your Hunger, there's a point where the author talked about the love of God. It's truly awesome. God brought me to see, how much, so much more than I ever thought, that He loves me, you, all of us who never deserved all the love.

Imagine, in this world, there's life more than the ones on earth. There are more life than humans. But God choose to love us. He choose to save us although we sin and hurt him so much. The God of the universe, who created so much more than us, would choose to redeem us from death. He sent His ONLY SON, His one and only son, to save us. Out of the many, many kazillions of life in the universe he sacrifice His only son, not for any other planets, not for any other life on earth, not for anything in heaven, not for any other beings in heaven, but for US. To think that Jesus actually crossed the huge lake to free that crazy man who was possesed by Legions and go back to the other end of the lake to preach again. He crossed the lake just to free him. One person only. And that's how much He loves each and everyone of us. And now that Easter is coming, go watch The Passion again. Watch how He suffered, watch the beatings he had to bear, each slash the whip gave. Those were meant for US. But He took it all. Just for us.

If you cannot comprehend the above, ever felt the deep longing to be with someone? Ever felt that deep desire to reconcile with someone? Ever wanted to be intimate with someone that you would do whatever to get back together with the person?

That is how God feels now towards you. The Creator of the Universe longed for you. Yes, YOU.

The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell
It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell
The guilty pair bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win
His erring child He reconcile and pardon from his sin.

Could we with ink the ocean fill and where the sky of parchment made
Where every star on earth aquil and every man ascribe by trade
To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretch from sky to sky

Oh Love of God, how rich and pure, how measureless and strong
It shall forevermore endure the saints and angels song...

And that's how much God loves us.
