Guard what you listen to

I just learnt something. So simple yet so profound and so, so, so important. I used to look down on this but I just found out how important it is.

A moment ago, I was feeling depressed all of a sudden. Then I switched on a song my heart was kinda hooked on to since last night from a movie I watched. Then I became more depressed and confused. The confusion and depression started accumulating last night. Went off some sort during the day today and returned again just now. Then suddenly I feel that perhaps it is the song. So I went into my song library, chose the most upbeat and strong song (Nothing is Impossible by Planetshakers) and some more and turn it on loud. In a few seconds, the depression lifted and the horrible and confusing thoughts just disappeared. I was starting to write a rather depressing poem but I can't continue so I deleted it. I went and deleted that song I was listening before immediately.

What I listen to matters to my mental health and spiritual health. I realized how important it is to guard what I listen to. There's this constant war in my mind. God is good, teach me this tactic now. PRAISE GOD AND DECLARE HIS AWESOMENESS AND MY POWER IN HIM! Need to get good good strong songs! RAWR!!!!!!!
