Business!

So it was quite embarrassing to admit. That foul smell came from a bag that was wet. I don't know how it got wet in the first place. It was my laptop bag I think. And it was about two months since I touched it and I never got anything with liquid near it. Unless my mom mops the floor without removing it thus letting the moisture seep into the fabric. EESH. And I was thinking it was warfare or something =.=

So how to know when it is a spiritual thing and when it is not? I don't know how to up my discernment! :( God, please help up my discernment!!!!

On another note of things, there was a Food Fair in school today. My class's stall has nothing much. But I made some cupcakes to be sold. I am happy that I didn't bring a lot of it because in the end not that much people want it especially with the amount of food around. Thank God all of it are sold, which I am very happy! :) But I do sense a general ignorance of cupcakes here. There are other people who sold cupcakes. General ones are rather small. The ones just a little bigger, topped with numerous toppings uglily pooped all over the cupcake are sold at RM6 each. And people bought them. I was like, OMG. Then I saw someone selling cupcakes of about the same size as mine but much more colourful. The cake looks like chocolate flavour and the icing... I shall comment a little later. So I was looking at them going round. Yes there are people buying from them but later on, I manage to get one free one when they wanted to close up their stall. I looked at the icing first. It looks oily, and I asked my friend to help ask if they actually made the icing or how. They said that they bought it and it is flavourless - which is a totally downsideness because my icing is like slight creamish smooth taste. Not too sweet and not too oily. I took a small bite of their icing, ugh. Pure artificial factory tasting icing. I scraped off the icing and taste the cake. Took a bite and it came out rough and bitterish. Too much cocoa powder.

It would sound like I am trying to downgrade other's cupcakes. But do trust me, if you would taste mine, then taste theirs, I'm sure your RM3's worth is better in mine than theirs. Yes, they sold theirs RM3 per cupcake too. And my design is wayyyyy nicer than theirs. Although it's pure colouring effect. I will upload a photo of my cupcake later when I'm on my laptop. :)

As how it goes with my cards and stuff, I wouldn't go into business. Side business, maybe. But not full time. Well, let's just say that I'll keep it a hobby and when someone can recognize the worth of my talents and is willing to pay for it, I will be willing to do business. If not, I don't want to subject myself to unnecessary criticisms. Especially from people who do not know anything about the quality and the pricing of cupcakes.

:D My cupcakes are all sold today!

  1. Totally agree with you. I stopped making cards. Unless its a close friend or family's birthday. Because other people always expect me to make it for free for them. Materials are expensive and it takes time (they don't get that, they think its cheap and free because its handmade). I hate that, at least appreciate it right?

  2. Totally. I stopped having the idea of selling cards too. They don't appreciate the art and the mental hard work all these things require to produce these things.

They don't get that handmades are the most expensive ones.
