Crafts, Creativity, Joy

Amongst my assignments, pausing just to make simple rubbish bin in the form of scrap paper made into paper bag, it just brings a short little spurt of happiness. And I had a thought in my mind...

I am happier doing craft and all the artsy stuff.

Colours, shapes, different textures... ahh... pure bliss. Assignments are all black and white, written or typed, things are so rigid and sometimes doesn't require much imagination and creativity. Loved yesterday. I think it is easier with nature than with solid places like the train station. Nature is soothing while th rigid places is full of rush and pollution of noises that rushes the thoughts and messes everything up. Nature has this therapy to just make things flow like the river. And nature has all its natural colours that are good for the eyes, not the splash of colours of ads and things of magazine covers and stuff that overwhelms.

Today, a whole free day. I need to balance between my assignments and some breaks in between to energize myself with craft. I feel more myself with crafts.

Then I remember the question that old gor asked long ago - You chose to be a teacher, then what about your talents in crafts? Where does it fit?

I believe there is a place to fit it in. I'm just praying that when I step into the real school the world doesn't crush and force it to die.

My God of creativity and beauty and fun will prevail.

Amen :)
