1. Desire
It all must begin with a desire. A desire of wanting more from God; a desire of desiring after God! God does not just want to meet our needs. He wants to fulfill our desires too. Other wise, He would only supply us with rice and water only and nothing else!
The fact that our world is colorful goes on to tell us that He wants to do more for us! He tells us that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can ask or think of!
He is a great and awesome God!
2. Decide
Step #2: Decide that you are going to have it, that you are going to go after God. Decisions in life ought to be first made before a situation comes up. It is usually very confusing if we have to make up our mind when we are in the middle of a crisis!
Decide long before you face temptation that you are not going to give in!
Decide long before you are tested that you will never give up on God!
Decide that you will keep running His course!
Decide that you are not going to be sour!
Decide that you are going to be happy!
3. Ask
And now that you have made up your mind, keep asking God for guidance and provision. Don’t just pray once! Keep praying till His Promises for your life come to pass.
Keep asking, keep knocking! Just don’t throw in the towel.
Faith is NOW!
4. Receive
You have got to first receive the promise of God in your spirit before you can receive it physically. Do you have the promises of God in your spirit? Are you carrying a conviction or simply a preference?
5. See it
Now long before your promises come to pass, you would have first seen it in the spiritual realm. You have to learn to sensitize your spirit to see the things of the LORD.
God took Abraham out to see the stars… that represent the number of His descendants. He looked at those same stars for 25 years before Isaac was born. Did he give up? No. But what strengthened him? The voice of God, his faith in God and his ability to see the stars, that reminded him of the promise every night!
6. Speak it
Speak and prophesy the Word of God into your world. Declare it! Don’t you mumble! Speak it by faith! You will only move the mountain if you speak to it! Be bold now and speak into your own life!
7. Act upon it
Nothing good is going to happen to you if you do nothing with what God has promised you. You need to step out by faith. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD. The steps are ordered not the thoughts. You need to act! Peter had to act and he walked on water. Did he ever learn that? No! But he did it. When you take small steps by faith, God will amplify your effort!
